Big Creek Greenway Phase 5

Eagle’s Beak Park- Phase I
Location: 8420 Old Federal Road, Ball Ground
Funding: Parks, Recreation and Green Space Bond
Status: Under construction
Anticipated completion: Summer 2017
Acreage: Approximately 230 acres
Amenities: Canoe/kayak river launch, nature trails, restroom facility and parking

2017 PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

Bennett Park - 
installation of ThorGuard lightning detection system

Central Park - new spectator seat shades will be added at the adult softball complex; new scoreboards at baseball fields; new tile in Recreation Center; 
installation of ThorGuard lightning detection system

Coal Mountain Park - 
installation of ThorGuard lightning detection system

Fowler Park - 
installation of ThorGuard lightning detection system

Joint Venture Park - 
installation of ThorGuard lightning detection system

Midway Park - tile at baseball building;

Sawnee Mountain Park - basketball courts will be resurfaced; roofs on buildings will be replaced;

Sawnee Mountain Preserve - improvements to parking lot; paint the exterior of the visitors center building;
