Big Creek Greenway Phase 5

Wildcat Creek Park
Location: Northeast Forsyth County along Lake Lanier
Status: The proposed master plan was approved by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners on August 8 and will be sent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for review and approval

2018 Scheduled Projects

Central Park - baseball field repairs, replace disc golf course tee boxes
Chattahoochee Pointe - parking lot improvements
Coal Mountain Park - new park sign, new scoreboards, resurface tennis courts
Fowler Park - artificial turf will be added to fields 6 and 7, rubberized surface will be added to the playground
Midway Park - new park sign and resurface tennis courts


2017 Completed Projects

Bennett Parkinstalled ThorGuard lightning detection system
Central Park - new spectator seat shades added at the adult softball complex; new scoreboards at baseball fields; new tile in Recreation Center; 
installed ThorGuard lightning detection system
Chattahoochee Pointe - improved trail surface 
Coal Mountain Park
installed ThorGuard lightning detection system
Fowler Parkinstalled ThorGuard lightning detection system
Midway Park - replaced tile at baseball building; installed ThorGuard lightning detection system
Sawnee Mountain Park - basketball courts were resurfaced; roofs on buildings were replaced; installed ThorGuard lightning detection system
Sawnee Mountain Preserve - improvements to parking lot; painted the exterior of the visitors center building; installed ThorGuard lightning detection system
Sharon Springs Park - tennis courts were resurfaced; roofs on buildings were replaced
