Apply for a Scholarship

Forsyth County Parks & Recreation provides a wide variety of youth recreation opportunities, yet not all families are able to afford the participation fees. Forsyth County Parks Foundation and Forsyth County Parks & Recreation have designed a scholarship program to provide funding for these families.   

Eligibility Requirements:
• Children ages 17 or younger are eligible to receive a scholarship
• Recipients must be county residents
• Recipients must be approved for the Forsyth County Schools Free and Reduced Priced Meal Program
• Applicants must provide a completed application with supporting documents  

How to Apply:
Complete the Youth Scholarship Application and return to Forsyth County Parks & Recreation by:  
Mail:           P.O. Box 2417, Cumming, GA  30028
In-person: Fowler Park Administrative Office, 4110 Carolene Way, Cumming  

Program Guidelines:
• The approval of scholarships is dependent upon funding and activity availability
• Only activities where Forsyth County Parks & Recreation Department handles the registration are eligible
• Upon approval, each applicant is eligible for 2 activities per year
• Each applicant must provide a completed application and supporting documents required at least 2 weeks in advance of the program start date
• Late or incomplete applications will not be processed
• Failure to attend a program paid for by a scholarship may result in the loss of future financial assistance
• Failure to follow program or facility rules may result in the loss of future financial assistance
• Forsyth County Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel a program due to low enrollment
• All scholarship applications will remain confidential
