Did you know it’s estimated that a billion birds die each year in the United States after colliding with windows?

The Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center is now outfitted with bird friendly windows to prevent bird window crashes. Thanks to a Disney Conservation Fund grant and a partnership with the Atlanta Audubon Society, the center’s windows have been retrofitted with a bird-friendly window treatment that will greatly reduce birds flying into windows.

The newly added treatment is visible from the center’s exterior but still allows guests inside to view the preserve without impacting visibility.
