BASEBALL SOFTBALL FIELD RULES

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal or physical abuse directed towards park staff, officials, volunteers, coaches, or spectators is prohibited.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Fields are available on a first come, first served basis unless reserved for an activity.
  • Animals are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited on the fields.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Folding chairs and any type of outdoor furniture is prohibited on the fields.
  • Canopies/tents must be outside the field fence and may not block the spectator view.
  • Hitting, throwing, or kicking balls against fences and buildings is prohibited.
  • Players must wear the appropriate athletic attire.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, motorized vehicles and children’s play toys are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • Use of any field equipment (goals, blocking sleds, etc.) is prohibited without a permit from park staff and/or the youth athletic association.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Picking, pulling, or removing grass fibers or infill material from the fields is prohibited.
  • Fields may be closed at times due to weather conditions. Please call the inclement weather line for more information. 770-886-2851

BASKETBALL COURT RULES

  • Improper personal conduct such as disorderly speech or conduct prohibited.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Courts are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Courts are intended for basketball only.
  • Animals are prohibited on the courts.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverage with the exception of water are prohibited on the courts.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Folding chairs and any type of outdoor furniture is prohibited on the courts.
  • Players must wear appropriate athletic attire; soft rubber soled shoes are required.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, motorized vehicles and children’s play toys are prohibited on the courts.
  • Climbing on the fence or hanging from the nets is prohibited.

BATTING CAGE RULES

  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Park athletic associations and teams have first priority; otherwise, batting cages are available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages are prohibited inside the batting cage.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Climbing on the fence or netting is prohibited.
  • Helmets must be worn inside the batting cages.
  • Ages 17 and under must be supervised by an adult while using the batting cages.

CARDIO-WEIGHT ROOM RULES

  • A membership or daily pass is required.
  • Use equipment at your own risk.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal or physical abuse is prohibited.
  • Appropriate athletic attire such as soft soled shoes, shirts, shorts or pants are required.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Cardio machines have a 30-minute time limit.
  • Users are responsible for wiping down equipment after each use.
  • Users shall vacate weight equipment in between sets.
  • Banging weights is prohibited.
  • Verbal noises such as yelling, grunting or talking loudly is prohibited.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Headphones are required for music, phones or other technology.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.

DOG PARK RULES

WARNING: Use facility at your own risk. Participation could result in serious injury to person or pet.
  • Dog owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog(s).
  • Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the fences dog park area.
  • Owners must have proof of rabies vaccination in accordance with County Ordinance 14.104.
  • Dog owners shall promptly clean up and properly dispose of all dog waste.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
  • Aggressive dogs must be removed immediately.
  • A limit of 2 dogs per adult.
  • Gates must remain closed when not entering or exiting.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.

Anyone failing to abide by park rules and ordinances will be subject to removal, citation, suspension or arrest. 

DRONE FLYING FIELD RULES

  • User is responsible for compliance with rules and regulations for drone operation including those implemented by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • This is an unsupervised recreational facility. By entering this facility, the user agrees to assume all risk and liability.
  • Access to this property for drone usage is terminable at any time by Forsyth County.
  • Recreational drone usage only. No other uses are authorized.
  • No permit shall be required for drone operation.
  • Drone operation may occur only in the authorized area. Users operating their drones outside the authorized area will forfeit use privileges.

FLYING FIELD SCHEDULE
Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays
10:00 am – 7:30 pm (May-October);
10:00 am – 5:00 pm (November-April)

GYMNASIUM RULES

  • A membership or daily pass is required.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal or physical abuse is prohibited.
  • Appropriate athletic attire such as soft soled shoes, shirts, shorts or pants are required.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Hanging on the basketball rim and/or net is prohibited.
  • Children ages 13 and under must be supervised by an adult.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Headphones are required for music, phones or other technology.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Place all trash in the provided waster receptacles.

INDOOR TRACK RULES

  • A membership or daily pass is required.
  • Walking and running are the only activities permitted; however, running is not allowed when the track is busy.
  • Appropriate athletic attire such as soft soled shoes, shirts, shorts or pants are required.
  • Groups or teams are prohibited from using the walking track.
  • Observe the direction of the track; the direction changes each week.
  • When passing others, pass on the outside lane in single file formation.
  • Stopping on the track is prohibited.
  • Conversations shall remain at a volume that do not interfere with other user’s enjoyment.
  • Headphones are required for music, phones and other technology.
  • Children ages 6 and under are prohibited; ages 6-13 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Strollers are not permitted.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.

PAVILION RULES

  • Pavilions are first come, first served unless reserved.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • Improper personal conduct such as disorderly speech or conduct is prohibited.
  • Pets must be leashed. Pet owners shall clean up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Damaging or removing park property is prohibited.
  • Sound equipment shall remain at a volume that does not interfere with other park user’s enjoyment.
  • All decorations and signs must be removed without damaging park facilities.
  • Small gas grills are allowed. Some pavilions have permanent charcoal grills that may be used for cooking Dumping grease or charcoal in park receptacles or on park property is prohibited.
  • A permit is required for commercial activity, organized groups, trainers and events,
  • Inflatables, food trucks, game trucks and other equipment is prohibited without prior written approval from the parks and recreation department.

PLAYGROUND RULES

  • Playground is designed for ages 12 and under.
  • Adult supervision is required.
  • Animals are prohibited in the playground area.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages are prohibited on the playground structures.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Flying objects or throwing items is prohibited in the playground area.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • A permit is required for commercial activity, organized groups, team sports, trainers, events and signage.

SKATEPARK RULES

  • Improper personal conduct such as disorderly speech or conduct is prohibited.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without permit.
  • Animals are prohibited in the skatepark.
  • Introduction of other elements or altering existing elements in the skatepark is prohibited.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Motor driven equipment is prohibited.
  • Food is prohibited inside the skate park.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Sound equipment shall remain at a volume that does not interfere with other park user’s enjoyment.
  • Damaging or removing park property is prohibited.
  • Entering the skatepark with a displayed closed sign is prohibited.
  • It is recommended that all users wear a strapped helmet, wrist guards, knee pads and elbow pads.
  • Use skatepark at your own risk.
WARNING: Skateboarding, biking and in-line skating are hazardous recreation activities. Use of this facility may result in serious injuries or death. Forsyth County does not assume any responsibilities for injuries.

SOCCER FIELD RULES

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal or physical abuse directed towards park staff, officials, volunteers, coaches or spectators is prohibited.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Fields are available on a first come, first served basis unless reserved for an activity.
  • Animals are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited on the fields.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Folding chairs and any type of outdoor furniture is prohibited on the fields.
  • Canopies/tents must be outside the field lines and may not block the spectator view.
  • Hitting, throwing, or kicking balls against fences and buildings is prohibited.
  • Players must wear appropriate athletic attire; metal spikes are prohibited.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, motorized vehicles and children’s play toys are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • Use of any field equipment (goals, blocking sleds, etc.) is prohibited without a permit from park staff and /or the youth athletic association.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.

SPLASH PAD RULES

  • In case of emergency, call 911.
  • No lifeguard is on duty.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
  • Running and rough play is prohibited.
  • Improper personal conduct such as disorderly speech or conduct is prohibited.
  • Personal music shall remain at a volume that does not interfere with other user’s enjoyment.
  • Spitting, spouting water, drinking the water and nose blowing is prohibited.
  • Climbing or hanging on the spray equipment and fencing is prohibited.
  • Food and beverages, with the exception of water, are prohibited outside of approved area.
  • Proper swimwear is required.
  • Swim diapers are required and disposable or cloth diapers are prohibited.
  • Toys (goggles, buckets, water balloons, beach balls, etc.) are prohibited.
  • Flying objects or throwing items is prohibited.
  • Persons with open lesions, wounds or diarrhea are prohibited from entering the water.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Animals are prohibited.
  • Place all trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • Forsyth County reserves the right to close the Splash Pad at any time for maintenance, repairs or weather.

SYNTHETIC TURF RULES

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal or physical abuse directed towards park staff, officials, volunteers, coaches or spectators is prohibited.
  • Private instruction, organized groups and commercial activity is prohibited without a permit.
  • Fields are available on a first come, first served basis unless reserved for an activity.
  • Animals are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Food and beverages with the exception of water are prohibited on the fields.
  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Folding chairs and any type of outdoor furniture is prohibited on the fields.

  • Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
  • Folding chairs and any type of outdoor furniture is prohibited on the courts.
  • Hitting, throwing, or kicking balls against fences and buildings is prohibited.
  • Players must wear appropriate athletic attire; soft rubber soled shoes are required.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, motorized vehicles and children’s play toys are prohibited on the fields and in the spectator areas.
  • If players are waiting to use the courts, limit play time to one hour if you do not have a reservation.

TRAIL RULES

  • Trail is intended for walking and running.
  • Bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and motorized vehicles are prohibited, however, children ages 6 and under may ride a small bike or toy with supervising adult.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times. Pet owners shall clean up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
  • Vaping, tobacco, smoking and alcohol are prohibited.
  • Place trash in the provided waste receptacles.
  • A permit is required for commercial activity, organized groups, team sports, trainers, events and signage.

TRACK AND FIELD RULES
