Scholarship Information
Scholarships are for Forsyth County residents only and are awarded based on demonstrated need, available funding, and meeting submission deadline requirements. misleading information or failure to attend a program/event paid for through the scholarship fund, will result in the denial of future scholarship events.
Participant Requirements and Limits 
	- Demonstrate the need for financial assistance as outlined in the document section below.
 
	- The applicant must be a Forsyth County Resident.
 
	- Youth scholarships are awarded to those ages 17 and under.
 
	- Senior scholarships are awarded to those ages 55 and older.
 
	- Therapeutic Recreation (TR) scholarships will be awarded to TR program members. To become a member, additional forms
are required and available upon request.
	
 
	- Scholarships are limited to $200 per applicant, per calendar year. 
 
Application Instructions 
Participant/legal guardian must complete one application per participant and submit all required supporting documentation 10 days
prior to the registration deadline. Applications can be submitted in person at the Fowler Park Administration Office, 4110 Carolene
Way, Cumming, GA. 30040, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm OR by email to parkweb@forsythco.com. Incomplete applications will not be
reviewed. 
Award Notification 
Applicants will be notified of the application status no later than 5 business days after submission. The scholarship program is
separate from the registration process and does not guarantee space in any program, event, camp or sports league. The scholarship
funds cover registration fees only. Any other fee associated with the program are required to be paid by the participant.
